Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010
We were talking at dinner about "Bee-Bo" (I misspelled this last time I wrote about it!) and my Mom was a little lost. So after dinner we sent her into the den with John to read the Belly Button Book. Then she understood. They read a few more books, then it was on to other things to play with.
I think John finally caught onto how to use the Tag Junior Reader. But that was only after we reminded him not to turn it off again right after he'd turned it on. I'd made the mistake of showing him the on/off button a few days ago. Now that's all he wants to do. But Mom and I convinced him to push it only once and then he proceeded to put the reader on each picture, just like he'd seen me do a couple of days ago. Smart cookie! He didn't need to be shown again. But he still likes to turn it off best!
For the record, we celebrated here with cupcakes and a wine from a winery called Cupcakes Vineyard. And I'm sure we'll be in bed before the clock strikes midnight!
It's the last day of 2009. I'd set a goal last year of taking a picture everyday (and blogging about it). And while I missed a few days of blogging (because of m vacation), I did take a picture every single day. Most of them were just a record of our days and focused on JHP. Readers of this blog are probably thankful for that. They've seen a baby grow into a little boy. One of the reasons to take a picture every day was to improve my photography and I think I've succeeded. I feel much more in control of the photos I'm taking and I'm happy with most of them. There are still plenty that I delete, but most are good enough that I share them with you on the WebAlbums. As for 2010, I'm not so sure I'll blog everyday. Some days I've felt obliged to regurgitate the day and on those days, I've felt burdened. Other days, I have plenty of little things to share. I think I'll take it one day at a time in 2010. I'm sure that most days you'll see a post, but don't be disappointed if I miss a day here and there. Happy New Year!
