Sleeping like a baby! He still likes to sleep with his arms tucked under him. Sometimes the butts up and sometimes not. This afternoon he was sleeping so hard that the flash didn't even wake him. I shot three pictures and finally had to lay my hand on him to get him to rouse. It was 5 pm and he'd had a long day at MDO! I guess he needed the sleep.
Here's what he looked like after I woke him. Poor guy! He still REALLY doesn't like being woken up. I hate to do it, but sometimes you just have to.
A little story to tell: Lately, JHP will eat just about anything, especially if he's seen it go into your mouth. (Real people food - not baby food.) Most of the time, he'll let me feed it to him. Or he'll reach out to grab it and put it in his mouth himself. Last night I fed him some broccoli, potato, and green bean. Tonight, some rice and peas. The cute part of the story about the peas...we had finished dinner and were clearing the table, and putting food away. There were some peas leftover, but not enough for a serving. So I decided, I'd suck it up and eat them (what a sacrifice - I know). JHP was a bit fussy and really wanted to help Daddy with the dishwasher, which wasn't on Daddy's agenda. So, I was running interference by holding him. I started to eat the peas and John reached over so I gave him one. He'd take the pea in his fingers and make it to his mouth and when I decided I'd had enough, I just let him fish them out the serving dish himself. So, there we were standing at the counter, me holding John and the dish, and John fishing out the peas one by one and putting them in his mouth. Now, mind you it wasn't that long ago, when he refused the mashed up peas I tried to feed him. I guess I'll start offering him a bit of everything we are eating from now on. I think he's only just now starting to be interested in feeding himself. I guess one day, I'm going to have to get brave and let him try it himself. I'm just not looking forward to cleaning the mess up!
