John told me a while back that the Peanut Pouch really needed to be renamed the Peanut Pack. And today when he saw this picture on the computer screen his comment was, "Wow, Peanut's making you big!" It doesn't help that this blouse has ALWAYS made me look big, from the time I bought it 5 months ago. So here it is - the latest picture at 34 weeks:
I'm feeling pretty good, although I did have some swelling in my ankles this weekend. Nothing major, though. We go back to the doctor this Friday.
And we are still going to our birthing classes on Tuesday. Three more to go. Last week, we learned all about breastfeeding. I think it has helped us to be more prepared and it has certainly helped me feel a little more at least about the upcoming birth. The first night of class, the instructor loaded up a back pack with various items that represented the 30 lbs or so that most women gain during their pregnancy. Then she solicted volunteers to wear the pack to understand what their partners were going through. Someone in the class was kind enough to lend me a camera so I could take this picture of John. His comment after a 1/2 hour of wearing the pack, "My back is killing me!"

John cleaned the carpet in the nursery this weekend. And most the things SNBNA (Stephen and Barbara Sanchez and Andrew) lent us have found a home or a hiding place until needed. We are still waiting on the crib and my list of things to do is getting slightly shorter each day.
As most of you know, our yearly trek to the ski country was totally out of the question this year. Our group left on Saturday and while it was somewhat bittersweet, John and I were both pretty excited not to have to pack and organize. I'm sure we'll be missed as much as we'll miss the group! May no one get sick or injure a major portion of their body!
