M&M's

We enjoyed the weather and the playground again today after MDO. While we were making sure to get the mosquito spray to cover us all, John bumped his face into the car door. Ouch! You can't tell from this picture, but he's got a nice red mark on his right cheek. Hopefully it will fade quickly.

He enjoyed playing around, although I think he would have rather had some kids to play with. We were the only ones there today. Even the mosquitoes seemed absent, which didn't bother me any.

The rest of the afternoon was better than yesterday. We did have a couple of minor melts but managed through with less fuss than yesterday. Our plan is to not give in to his tantrums lest he learns to manipulate us.

After dinner, John asked for some M&M's. Daddy thought he'd make a game out of it. Since John needs some work on identifying colors,
the rule was if John could name it he could eat it. Otherwise, Daddy would eat it. It took a little while to catch on. After several instances of Daddy eating and not John, he started to get anxious. Overall, he was only about 50% right, although I feel like he might have been just goofing around sometimes. Daddy figured that John wouldn't do that with M&M's at stake, but I'm not so sure. We might have to try this again.
