JHP's been trying so hard to roll over (to the left) this past week. Yesterday, he got his hip over, but wasn't sure what to do next. (You kinda have to leave him to himself, otherwise he's more interested in you than rolling over.) Well, today I put him on his mat and I went to try to get my laptop to fax something. I was gone several minutes and he started crying. When I went back into the room, he was on his tummy with his arms flailing like he was superman. And oh, he was mad! He couldn't do anything but arch his back and fly like superman. I picked him up and soothed him and and told him how proud I was and that I was sorry I'd missed his first roll over. It brought tears to my eyes that I missed it. They grow up so fast! He'll be 4 months next week and somedays it seems like just yesterday he was born and other days it seems like forever that he was part of my life. I guess GOOD THINGS are like that. Looking back at the pictures, he's changed so much...
...Just like my niece June. She turned 3 on Saturday. She had a good day and really enjoyed her time with family. Especially her cousin John whom she calls "Her Baby Peanut". Although she does know that his name is John (Baby John). I found this pic of when June was born and I can't believe how small she was. Jimmy was such a proud papa that day!

And now she's 3 and she can talk! A lot! She had tons of questions about John and was amazed at his little hands and feet and ears and anything else she noticed about him. She's such a proud cousin!

She likes to pose for pictures and likes to hold him, although she did admit to me that he's getting big.

As you can see from the picture above (Sister-in-law Jane helping out with the holding), he's putting everything in his mouth now. Most of the time, I just give him a burp cloth. That way he kind keeps the drool in check by himself and I know it's clean and washable. And Daddy did some experimenting last weekend and discovered some things about getting JHP to sleep both at night and for naps. It's not perfect, but it's better than it was. He's becoming a little more active when he feeds. Last week I had to close the blinds because he wanted to see outside more that he wanted to eat. Most of the time this is not the case, but every so often... And I sometimes have to pin his legs down so he doesn't kick me in the chest. His head control is really pretty good unless he's really tired. We've put him in the Jumperoo and he really likes it as long as he's not tired.
I guess I've rambled enough. I'll post the rest of the pic from Saturday up on the WebAlbums.
